Perhaps we can say that we are random variables and there exists a moment generating function(M_x(t)). Based on the characteristic that we choose to have as a random variable, the outcome of life for instant time t is what happen's at that time which can be realized using the moment generating function.

t = 0 is the present moment and it's not easy to find out the outcome for future(even for t=0) since we have to go through depth n of the infinite polynomial function that defines the function M_x(t).

But interestingly enough, as human beings, sometimes we know! without knowing that we know! Like the exponential function e^{tx} which knows the outcome without going all the depth to reach eteity.
